right now it's a tie between Oliver Platt and Hank Azaria.
Video: What was the first R-rated movie you saw (or were allowed to see)?
Submitted by Lisa.
All I remember is that I LOVED it!
Video: Show us a documentary or film based on a true story that really moved you.
Oh, no! I am a documentary film freak so I have too many to list here!
But here are a few to add to your list of MUST SEE docs:
Hearts and Minds by Peter Davis
This won the academy award in 1974 but it is as relevant and powerful in its message today.
This is a phenomenal movie.
The Gleaners and I by Agnes Varda
If you understand French or Spanish you can watch it on Google Video here:

But I recommend renting or buying the DVD because it comes with a really excellent follow up, part 2 video, so good that it made me cry!
Genghis Blues
if this video doesn't intrigue...
I have to include Same Sex America because I worked on it for over a year.
The entire experience was moving.
Here (link) is the promo that we were all so excited about because it has that movie promo guy doing the voice over!!
'In a world...'
Book: Show us one of your favorite cookbooks.
There are many great vegan and vegetarian cookbooks out there now, but this one is the original. It's written by real hippies from a real hippy commune (I know it's real because I met some kids who grew up there?!). One of the best things about this book is its still printed with the original awesome 70's photos of hippy kids and old people making these nice simple vegan dishes. Nothing scary or complicated here ( the hippies had to feed the kids!), just tasty recipes for staples like pancakes and chili that just don't have eggs, cheese or meat in them.
Video: Show us a clip of a TV show you miss.
This is the show that taught my generation that you could not only be a fine-looking, hip, young african american and/or female but you could also really kick ass at science and technology.. and have fun doing it!
I have been waiting for the DVD box set for a LONG time! HELLO?!?!
and also.. KISS!
and then there's these guys
Video: Show us some great dancing.
I love dancing so much that I post a lot of videos about dancing I am interested in dance as both public performance and personal expression
here is one I made of my friend Mary:
Mary is not a great bowler but she is an awesome DANCER! - Watch as Mary Dances at Lesure Time Bowling Alley
It's no secret how much I LOVE tap dancing so I am always thrilled to find it pop-up in unexpected places. Example, here is a kick-ass tap dance number from the Japanese samurai film Zatochi.
Link: Find someone on Vox who has the same name as yours. Any similarities?
Wow, Vox! While there is never a shortage of M-i-c-a-h's, M-i-c-a's are few and far between.
So, I was surprised to find, this kid (although I suppose it could be a nickname or something)
Anyways, we already have tons in common! Besides the name, he has a blog on Vox, he apparently is a young attractive kid (or obsessed with one - either way, same as me!), he has hair (in the pictures), and um.. likes (according to his listed interests)
I think, I'll add him to my neighborhood!
Us M-i-c-a's do have a tendency to seek out and stalk others of our namesake...
ok, Sorry Mica kid, just hacing fun. I seriously won't be contacting you in any other way.
'What's the first image that comes up when you Google your name?'
Mica = Flakey Mineral
Mica Scalin = Pink
( actually it's a very random screengrab from my videoblog of some old-ass pink tights up close, gross)
