Season 2 of This American Life TV show starts on Sunday but because of my job I have already seen the season premiere and it is really quite amazing, something that could not have been done on the radio show. Good work, TAL - looking forward to another amazing TV season!
I was not familiar with this guy because I don't watch Accuweather but he is great. He reminds me of this phone number we used to call daily to hear some public school system lunch menu read in a similarly quirky manner.
What was that number again? Anyone else remember this? It was a pre-internet viral thing.
Showtime did a fun promotion yesterday, turning fountains in 14 cities around the US RED.
I took some pics during my lunch break . It was neat but with all that goes on in Times Square at any given hour it was hard to make a real 'splash' .
In Chicago they used red gels to illuminate the fountain at night - amazing.

Some of my favorite artists, MTAA (the collective sum of M.River and T.Whid) have finally unleashed their long awaited Karaoke DeathMatch 100 video project!
You get to be the judge in the 50 round head-to-head microphone duel!
Each day, a new round of the deathmatch will go live at midnight Eastern Daylight Time. You can vote at anytime during the 24 hours that the round is live.
Kinda like American Idol without Sanjaya. See figures below.
fig. 1 Sanjaya:
OK, not really but I just wanted to post some Sanjaya. You cannot deny that that this kid friggin' ROCKS!
Stay tuned for the KDM100 remix!!
This American Life group blog is finally here!
I mean, HERE (link)!
TAL fans have not had a place to hang out with each other online before now and already people are starting to peek their heads in to check it out, so I know it's going to be a fun and lively group. Been working with Jorge at TAL to come up with ideas to make this a really fun and engaging space. He has given me some insight on how they come up with stories in meetings and through a so-called 'slush pile' of ideas that they get pitched ( that is so gross sounding, may I suggest 'fun folder' for the future?). We discussed how TAL fans (including myself) would probably get a lot out of going through a similar process together, helping each other to come up with ideas and inspire each other to craft great stories. And the rest is history (the present, actually). Will be looking forward to seeing what develops there!
