Are you taking a vacation this summer (or this season)?  Where are you headed and who's going with you?

Growing up Virginia we always used to go to the Outer Banks (OBX as it is now known!) - since moving to NYC I learned about Cap Cod! pretty much the same vibe though sadly, less red-neck and no kitty hawk 'first in flight'  sand dunes ;:(  . However I am very excited I to be heading up there this summer to the Woods Hole Film Festival!

I will stick with live performances which I attended:

1. Prince 
2. Ted Leo scatting through 'The High Party' because it didn't yet have lyrics!
3. Cat Power way back when, never getting past the first verse of any song before stopping to mumble 'I am really bad at this'.
4. Grace Jones
5. James Brown
6. The Makeup when they first started at some club in Pittsburgh and everyone saying  ' is that a wig?' as Ian/Spiv whatever the heck his name is, flailed on the floor in the middle of a crowd of confused NOU fans.
   
7. !!!  - making a room of surly hipsters loose their cool and boggie all night at the Hosiery in DC
8. Aus Rotten, Frodus and Anti-Flag playing in the Duquesne University inflatable soccer field bubble complete with astro turf becuase it was just so weirdly pleasing to see dirty-ass punk kids in a space-age hermetically sealed bubble.
9. Any New Years eve in Richmond with The Ululating Mummies, but I am specifically thinking of The Flood Zone so that had to be a loooong time ago!
10. Unidentified jazz trio playing the Peanuts X-mas music on the Essex st Subway platform in NYC this winter.
    
    now im on a roll... it's hard to stop! I need to just go see a show now!
