Got to see Daniel Johnston performing live at Warsaw in Broolyn ( thanks, Terence!)
He shed some new light on Beatles classics like Help! and I'm So Tired.
If you don't know his music or his amazing story check out the documentary called The Devil And Daniel Johnston.
Take the What Book Are You quiz and tell me what you get and if it's accurate for you, too!
(Thanks Lance!)

Sorry for all the parenthetical annotation. It's a lazy way to write, I know, but, I am tired. goodnight.
Today was the grand opening of The L Word in Second Life. This is a sort of sim-type game where a lot of people can log-on at once and kind of just hang out in an online environment. The L Word has a great orientation area where people land when they first sign up, it makes it very easy to learn how to walk around, talk to people and even change your clothes. I had a blast helping people get started, and talking with some of my Showtime coworkers via our avatars. It was all very funny. I can't wait to see how this space develops as it gets more populated and promoted. One my missions is to get people to run their own events in the space, help people use it as a forum for their own ideas, art, music so that it becomes more than just a marketing tool, but an actually useful space for people.
If you could open a restaurant, any kind you want, what would it look like and what's on the menu?

I would make an exact recreation the Celebrity Room, my favorite restaurant growing up in Richmond, VA. It was about 20 min from our house which was really far out in the country to me, so it was a really big deal to get to go there. The place is/was huge, first you come into an entryway that is like curvy and mirrored in gold and there's really big fishtanks. Then you get seated either at a celebrity shrine booth in the main dining area or in the Elvis room, the Marilyn room or if you're feeling crazy you can go in the back area which had a huge stage/dance floor with country music karaoke, the very serious kind where they have tambouirines for the audience to play on certain songs and they always end the night with Amazing Grace. Also, I forgot to mention that it's decorated for christmas all year 'round. holla!
I would have better food, but it would still be italian. I would still serve the frozen icee for desert only it would come in gourmet flavors.
I specialize in F2F marketing strategies. Which mostly involves walking up to people (usually people I know or meet at some casual social event) and telling them stuff. Despite having to overcome my vertically challenged state, which can be a hindrance to actually being F2F with the majority of the populace, I manage to get by with my extra large face and my ability to speak louder and faster than those around me (llink to example note: not really me, but a good enough simulation). I feel that this replicates the experience of watching a television which has been a rather successful marketing tool in recent years.
